The concept “Storyteller”
By Oleg Soulimenko and Oksana Zmiyevska
In the Workshop of the Dreamer youngsters engage in an artistic process in which they reflect upon the place where they live and spend their everyday life.
Through various artistic, theatrical and performative practices participants in the workshop can fantasise, interpret, retell and represent pieces of small events and places from their everyday life.
Personal islands of everyday life are tracked down and documented. A starting point for reflection is that the teenagers show each other the special places.
Drawings, sculptures, texts, gesture, physical actions, dance, songs and many other things, will be the basis of the final presentation of “The workshop of the Dreamer “ in the format of a documentary installation musical. In this project reality and fantasy overlap merging fictional and actual events and places.
